Dr. Kelley Still Nichols retired from full-time faculty at Drury University after 24 years. A graduate of Drury's Master of Business Administration program, Kelley went on to earn her Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
She annually directed the free income tax service for low-income and senior citizen taxpayers provided by Drury accounting majors for fourteen years. Additionally, Kelley was a founder and the first director of the Arts Administration program at Drury University, and the director of the Edward Jones Center for Entrepreneurship for five years before returning to the accounting classroom full time.
Currently, Kelley is training and developing curriculum for the Great Game of Business®, where she harnesses her passion for financial literacy. Kelley has a long history with the SRC companies, using the Great Game of Business book in class, frequently taking her students on field trips to SRC companies, and encouraging her students to work at SRC companies. Kelley has former students sprinkled throughout the SRC system. Additionally, Kelley provides valuation, mediation, and expert testimony services to the legal community.
In the community, Kelley serves on a task force and provides financial literacy training for Harmony House, routinely volunteers with Friends of the Library, and is an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Golden City. In her personal life, Kelley is married to Nelson Nichols, whom she partners with on farming operations, including the annual Sunflower Festival at Golden Grove Farm. Together they have five children and five grandchildren. Her favorite things are yoga, gardening, hiking, skiing, and entertaining her family and friends with good food and lots of laughter.
